What are Braces?

Braces are dental appliances used to straighten teeth, correct misalignments, and improve the overall bite. They consist of brackets, wires, and, in some cases, additional components such as rubber bands or springs. The brackets are bonded to the front surface of the teeth, while the wires are threaded through the brackets and adjusted periodically to gradually shift the teeth into their desired positions.

How do Braces work?

Braces exert a gentle and constant pressure on the teeth, encouraging them to move gradually over time. This pressure stimulates the bone around the teeth, allowing it to remodel and accommodate the new tooth positions. The treatment process is carefully planned and adjustments to the wires made during regular appointments to guide the teeth into their proper alignment.

Types of Braces:

  • Metal braces
  • Ceramic braces
  • Lingual braces and
  • Clear aligners such as invisalign

Braces are a proven orthodontic treatment that can transform crooked or misaligned teeth into a beautiful, confident smile. Braces have the ability  to correct various dental issues like Misaligned teeth , Overbite, Underbite, Deep Bite, Open bite, Cross bites, Crowded teeth, Spacings, Protruded teeth and  Impacted teeth.

Properly aligned teeth are easier to clean and maintain, reducing the risk of tooth decay, gum disease, excessive wear on teeth, jaw discomfort and other oral health issues.

Braces provide long-term results and have become an integral part of the journey towards better oral health. Whether it’s traditional metal braces or more discreet options like ceramic braces or clear aligners, braces continue to offer a reliable solution for achieving a straighter, healthier smile.

Fixed Braces

Fixed braces, are permanent fixtures and are removed at the end of the treatment period
